What You Will Experience in Our Worship:

Our worship may be different from what you have experienced before and because we want you to feel comfortable in worshipping with us, we want you to know what to expect. Again, we are striving to follow what we believe God has expressed in His word as the "prescribed" manner of worship. As we continue to study, we will make any changes that we find are scripturally necessary to be pleasing to God. If you have any questions about our worship, we encourage you to ask, we will be happy to share why we worship the way we do.

Singing:

We desire to praise God through our singing. We believe that the scriptures teach this as a form of worship that is pleasing to God. Our style of singing is that of acappella. We do not accompany our singing with instruments based on passages such as Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16.

Partaking of the Lord's Supper:

The early church gathered on the first day of the week (Acts 20:7) to break bread, terminology used to designate the Lord's Supper as Jesus instituted during the Passover Feast (Matthew 26:26-29, Mark 14:22-25, I Corinthians 11:23-26). This is a precious memorial, given to us by our Lord, to remember the sacrifice that he made on our behalf. We desire to never forget that sacrifice, for without it we would not be able to enjoy a relationship with God, this is why we to partake of the Lord's Supper each Sunday.

Giving:

Giving is another part of our Sunday worship. This is our opportunity to give back to God with a cheerful heart a portion of what He has given us (II Corinthians 9:6-15). These funds in return are used to support the work of this congregation in its efforts to reach those who do not know Jesus as their savior. As our visitor, you will not be expected or pressured in any way to give; this is primarily an opportunity for the members of this congregation. Any decision to give is one that you make between God and yourself.

Prayer:

Prayer is our lifeline (James 5:13-18; I Peter 3:12; I Timothy 2:8; Colossians 4:2)). It is our way of talking to God, offering Him our praise, our thanks, our petitions, and our repentance. A Christian should strive to pray constantly. It is a wonderful thing to know that God is always there to hear and answer our prayers, as we walk and talk with him like Adam and Eve did in the garden.

Bible Study:

Studying the Bible is our way of receiving communication from God. God has given us everything we need to live godly lives (II Peter 1:3). The directions, examples, and encouragement we need are all recorded in His word for us to follow. We take advantage of being gathered together to edify one another through the study of God's word.
